Wendelinus Hamutenya-Jeremia (Mr Gay Namibia 2011)

Wendelinus made history as the first-ever Mr Gay Namibia and the first Black African contestant to compete at Mr Gay World. His victory in 2011 was a monumental step for LGBTQ+ visibility in Namibia. A passionate advocate for human rights, his reign was marked by courage and resilience, especially after surviving a violent homophobic attack shortly after being crowned.

Ricardo Amunjera (Mr Gay Namibia 2013)

Ricardo continued the momentum, using his platform to push for acceptance and inclusivity in Namibia and across Africa. Known for his grace and professionalism, Ricardo later married his partner in South Africa, making headlines as a proud representative of queer love and legal recognition in a region where same-sex marriage is not yet legal.

Rivelino Reinecke (Mr Gay Namibia 2018)

A law student and outspoken advocate, Rivelino brought intellect and activism to the forefront of the pageant. His reign focused on LGBTQ+ visibility, particularly for young Black gay Namibians. He was committed to fostering empowerment, education, and open conversations within the community and public spaces.

Jason-Lee McKay (Mr Gay Namibia 2021)

Jason-Lee represented a fresh wave of Mr Gay Namibia contestants focused on mental health, creative expression, and representation. His reign helped bridge the gap between advocacy and artistic storytelling, shedding light on identity and lived experiences in a modern Namibian context.

Daniel Lazarus (Mr Gay Namibia 2022)

Daniel stood out with his powerful voice for same-sex marriage, equality, and LGBTQ+ mental wellness. With a bold, confident presence, he used his title to engage both national and international platforms, embodying the evolution of Mr Gay Namibia into a refined, globally relevant force for change.
