IMAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Images should not be:
- ‘Selfies’ or
- With other people or
- Screenshots or
- Low resolution or in .pdf or .doc format
ENTRY VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
- Your video must be filmed in landscape mode.
- Video must be in color.
- You need to cover the following in your entry. Name, surname, age, region you are representing and why you should be Mr Gay Namibia 2026.
- Your video must no exceed 60 seconds of length.
YOUR ENTRY IS INVALID SHOULD YOU NOT UPLOAD YOUR ENTRY VIDEO.
ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES
- To qualify as a contestant for Mr Gay Namibia 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age Requirement
Must be at least 18 years old and not older than 42 years at the time of entry. - Citizenship
Must be a Namibian citizen or have permanent residency in Namibia. - Dual citizens may apply, provided they hold valid Namibian documentation.
- Identity and Representation
Must identify as male and a member of the LGBTQ+ community. - Must be comfortable representing LGBTQ+ rights and visibility on national and international platforms.
- Character & Conduct
Must have a reputation of integrity, dignity, and good character. - Must not have any record of criminal conviction or ongoing legal disputes that may bring disrepute to the title.
- Must agree to abide by the code of conduct and uphold the values of inclusivity, respect, and professionalism.
- Health & Wellbeing
Must be in good mental and physical health to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the titleholder. - Must not currently suffer from any condition that would prohibit full participation in the program or public duties.
- Commitment & Availability
Must be available to commit to the full duration of the competition, including: - Pre-pageant events
- Workshops
- Public appearances
- Community service projects
- Post-crowning responsibilities (if selected)
- Advocacy & Purpose
Must demonstrate a genuine interest in LGBTQ+ advocacy, community upliftment, and social development. - Should possess a clear personal vision or campaign that aligns with the values of Mr Gay Namibia.
- Online & Public Presence
Must have responsible social media conduct and agree to a review of all online activity. - Must not have participated in any content that may be deemed explicit, discriminatory, or harmful to the LGBTQ+ community or general public.
- Previous Participation
Former finalists may re-enter, unless they have previously won the Mr Gay Namibia title. - Agreement
Must sign an official agreement and release form, including media consent and endorsement obligations if selected.
